People in our community use legal and illegal drugs in private party settings for a wide range of reasons. Using drugs always involves risks. As drugs may be used at private parties, hosts and guests need to know how to reduce and manage the risks.

Combining different drugs, including alcohol, can increase the risks of overdosing and other problems. Some drug combinations are particularly dangerous. For example mixing GHB with alcohol or with any other depressants or 'downers' increases the risk of overdose dramatically.
